Description:
this is an advanced course in asset valuation, building on knowledge fromt he core PhD investments courses. the course will cover the central themes of modern finance including individual investment decisions under uncertainty, capital market equilibrium and asset valuation. The emphasis on class presentations will enhance the ability to summarize the essential ingredients of a paper in a concise way, and to put them in perspecitve. Participating in presentation seminars should encourage critical thinking in terms of asking the right questions about the research piece, assumptions made by the authors and to isolate key strengths and weaknesses of a research paper.
